Bruce Sutter #155

This week, we are back with a new episode for the new year! It's Bruce Sutter! The first Hall of Fame pitcher with 0 starts, a 300 save club member, Cy Young winner, and amazing beard haver! Bruce’s career with the Chicago Cubs was seemingly over before it began…then he found the splitter. Bruce passed away in 2022 at age 69. Bruce signed a remarkable deferred compensation deal with Atlanta that provided $4.8 million in deferred cash at 13% interest over 36 years. That smart financial planning made Bruce almost $50 million in retirement!
