Al Nipper 326/75T


This week, a pitcher who had some tough luck throughout his career, but kept coming back with new stuff...it's Al Nipper! Nipper was a well regarded rookie going 11-6 in 1984, but illnesses, freak injuries, and bad luck limited his effectiveness over the next few years. He pitched for the 1986 AL Champs and was later traded to the Cubs as part of the Lee Smith deal. He then had a long coaching career!
